Cashmere

Our yarn with cashmere

Cashmere is not from a specific breed of goat, but is the term for the long, fine undercoat of around 20 different subspecies of domestic goats. The fine, soft, cashmere hair is carefully combed out by hand, yielding just 200-380g of raw fibre from each animal. No wonder that cashmere is amongst the most exclusive and expensive fibres.
