Like a shooting star, this yarn lends a subtle glint of silver or gold to your projects. It is worthy of note as an additional yarn to elevate a basic knitting project.

ASTRA works particularly well when combined with a fluffy mohair yarn to elegant effect, or as a tasteful accent on a ribbed border or edging. Despite a rough appearance, the handle defies expectations with a surprisingly soft touch.

Owing to its non-metallic finish, ASTRA's Black (1150.0004) differs from the other colours in composition and length:

66% polyester / 34% polyamide

Use detergent for fine wash without softener.

We set out to find the finest and most beautiful mohair. In South Africa we found the highest quality. This is determined by how fine it is (diameter) and the length of the hairs. For LANGYARNS LACE we only use fibres with a diameter of less than twenty five thousandths of a millimetre. To ply with it we use high quality silk. Treat yourself to the most beautiful materials occurring in nature!
